Donatello may be quite and lack a few social skills, but he is profoundly strategic, complex, and intelligent. Don sees the world around him in parts, as if it were a machine, and finds success in deconstructing any situation to meet his needs. When entering a combat situation, Don easily plays on his opponents’ movements and emotions as if he were engaged in a casual game of chess, picking them apart at every turn, breaking them down mentally and physically. His brothers, at times, have trouble fully understanding him, but have accepted the intricacies of his personality as a comforting addition to the family. The combination of the staff and his long frame allow him to play a distance game in a fight, creating the illusion that he is out of range, and then quickly surprising his opposite with his pinpoint precision and power.
