A born adventurer, and as intelligent as she is beautiful, April O’Neal skipped college or settling down with that great guy -- or just about anything else her parents wanted of her -- all for a much higher cause – her cause. The curious and ambitious young woman from the Midwest moved to New York in hopes of “finding herself,” and in the process landed an honest job working as an assistant for renowned scientist, Baxter Stockman. While not the most exciting career, April falls in love with Baxter’s passion for making the world a better place. And while she treasures her work, April secretly dreams of one day following her ambitions of becoming a famous New York television reporter, just like the ones she admired so much as a child.
